I also have a few things in the freezer to make cooking days easier:
- chopped onions (I use my food processor to dice loads at once)
- grated carrots (food processor again with a grater attachment)
- cooked bacon bits (great for adding to quiches, scrambled eggs, omelettes, salads, etc)
- cooked chicken breasts
- grated cheese
- chopped fresh herbs in olive oil (frozen in an ice tray and transferred to a freezer bag)
- chopped fresh chilli (ice tray method)
Finally I have a few things that don't need freezing:
- Homemade greek yoghurt
- Breakfast bars
- Meusli
